A bit about us

Super Cheap Fabrics has been around for over 40 years. [It started in YEAR, when THE SHORT STORY OF HOW IT BEGAN.] These days we're based in Collingwood, Melbourne, and while a lot has changed, the idea behind the shop hasn't: good fabric shouldn't be expensive, and buying it shouldn't be complicated. That's still what we're trying to get right, one order at a time.

The fabric

Our range covers linen, cotton, silk, chiffon, satin, rayon, lace, lycra, wool and plenty more, and we keep it moving with new arrivals rather than letting it sit. The suppliers and mills we've worked with over the years are also how we come across Italian designer fabrics and ex-designer deadstock now and then, which we're able to pass on at prices that are usually hard to find. Where it matters, we try to be clear about weight and width in our listings, since those are what tend to make or break a project.
